Did Tupac live a double life?
Maybe the "G" in "OG" doesn't stand for "gangster" but for something else?
The more I discover, the more I realize that the nation and world I grew up in differs from what I was led to believe.
A recent example comes from some old video footage of Tupac Shakur as a 17-year-old.
Shakur left this earth in 1996, but his legacy endures in the music and entertainment communities.
Maybe the 30-year time span clouded my memory of Tupac a bit? I say that because when I think of Shakur as a person, I think of a tough guy from the streets of Harlem. He struck me as an alpha male dripping with machismo.
However, two days ago, I stumbled upon a resurfaced video of Tupac, and the video not only blew my perception of the late rapper out of the water but also had me (once again) question what’s real and what’s phony in this world.
I couldn’t download the video from X, but this link will take you to this shocking video that presents a much different persona of “Makaveli.”
Tupac studied ballet, acting, and music from 10th through 12th grade at the prestigious Baltimore School for the Arts, a school that U.S. News & World Report named a Silver Medal School—a nationally ranked high school that prepares students for careers in the arts.
There’s no denying that Tupac was a talented artist who shined as a musician, thespian, and poet.
But was he a genuine thug? A real-life “OG” who pulled himself up by his artistic bootstraps to beat the odds?
Or was that all an act?
You be the judge.
Most of the responses to the resurfaced video were pretty much the same, with people saying they now believe Tupac was gay.
"This is the REAL Tupac," wrote one user on YouTube. "People still in denial and still think he was a masculine thug," wrote another. "This proves try hard 'gangsta’s' are just secretly gay," concluded another.
Others drew comparisons between him and actor-turned-rapper Aubrey Drake Graham (now known as Drake), who starred in the teenage soap opera Degrassi before transitioning to music: "Theatre kid, industry plant. No different than Drake lol."
And others brought up Sean "Diddy" Combs, with one user writing, "Rapping to cover up being gay. Poor thing didn’t accept himself. Got involved with P, had a falling out, threatened to out him, and was killed. Truth always comes to light."
The connection to Combs, also known as P. Diddy, stems from long-standing rumors (perhaps popularized by Eminem) that Combs was responsible for the drive-by shooting that killed Tupac in 1996 after an ongoing feud.
Additionally, users are connecting Combs to Tupac because of the recent allegations that Combs is secretly bisexual and engaged in Jeffrey Epstein-esque coercion involving other men in the music industry.
My apologies to all email subscribers who did not get a link to the video. I've updated this post and I'll drop it here: https://x.com/ReturnOfKappy/status/1798210053708845276?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTAAAR0FgCK2PKHRUzi5bzjPqrNNs3Z-QUUBJS7hjJjLCPOP-fLIB-NW_Nh5SnI_aem_AcoDAfJZ56b_qC1ZUaiq2B86GhaOFbhRjmLXxl5fkWR2jGbRWwDBubS_XQ5pZjX0vBGcbsHpOZDZdvk1kOfQOodQ
Apparently his 'acting' lessons paid off. Big time.
