A gerontocracy form of government is our U.S. reality, although not specified in the Constitution. The Ensure-loving demographic takeover of Congress and the Presidency morphed together over time. Boomers are clinging to power. Our corrupt system enables people called PawPaw and MeMaw to cling to power—assisting elderly politicians who need assisted living, like Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell, to stay in Congress for way too long.
Am I being too hard on 81-year-old McConnell?
You tell me…The Senator had another “freeze up” incident while talking to reporters today at an event in his home state.
McConnell, 81, was in the middle of a back-and-forth about the prospect of running for another six-year term in 2026 when he became stone-faced in a manner eerily reminiscent of his July 27 episode on Capitol Hill. “What are my thoughts about what?” McConnell asked. “Running for re-election in 2026,” a reporter answered. “Oh,” McConnell exclaimed before his eyes darted upward and he stared blankly into space. “Did you hear the question, Senator? Running for re-election in 2026?” a woman standing next to McConnell said. After about 30 seconds, McConnell appeared to snap back to reality and took two additional questions. McConnell spooked the DC press corps when he froze up midsentence while discussing the annual defense bill. (source)
This right here is symbolic of the state of America, folks.
WATCH:
Hasn’t Congress—particularly the Senate—been full of seniors for decades?
Yet there are currently more Senators dealing with ailing health than ever before.
Did McConnell get the Covid shots? Congress received an exemption from the federal mandates—but McConnell may have chosen to get inoculated anyway…maybe that’s also what’s going on with him and Senator Feinstein?
I know they are “elderly,” but they both just fell off a cliff, and their health quickly deteriorated “suddenly.”
Let’s bring in Neurologist Dr. David Thaler from Tufts Medical Center to provide some insights into what might be going on with McConnell’s brain health:
Speaking of senior leaders—the POTUS was asked about McConnell's incident. Biden was only able to respond to the first question and turned away from reporters as follow-up questions peppered the back of his jacket:
“Mitch is a friend, as you know—not a joke. People don’t believe that’s the case, but we have disagreements politically, but he’s a good friend.”
**Shuffles away from podium**
Isn’t there a neurological disorder, associated with the jabs, that involves the sufferer becoming frozen for periods of time? But of course we can’t talk about that.
Btw, I’m 80 years old, and what we’re seeing with Biden, McConnell, et al is not typical of healthy octogenarians. I agree our gerontocracy is a problem, but for the entrenchment of power and deepening of corruption their long tenures have entailed, not because older people are necessarily going to be senile or incapacitated.
I would put my bets in the jabs being the cause in their cases
