AOC Calls for Federal Ban on Tucker (the day before Tucker's firing.)
Glenn Greenwald reports on this strange coincidence.
Populist journalist Glenn Greenwald reported his analysis of the Tucker Carlson departure from FOX News over on his Rumble channel.
Greenwald is convinced the firing of Carlson was a complete surprise and not something Carlson saw coming just a few days ago.
Here we are now—the most dissident voice on cable news is gone.
Greenwald points out the vibrant variety of dissenting views within the GOP—while the Democrats are in lockstep from the top down on all issues.
One interesting dot he connects in his video is the fact that Democratic Congresswoman “AOC” of New York was on MSNBC last Sunday—the day before Carlson’s firing—where she urged the U.S. government and the Biden administration to ban Tucker Carlson from “being permitted to appear on television.”
What an odd coincidence.
Here is AOC talking about FOX News and Tucker (timestamped at 5:36):
Greenwald went to say this about AOC: “That despotic view—one that any mainstream political figure would have been far too ashamed to publicly advocate even a decade ago—is now utterly standard and acceptable, and the left liberal wing of the democratic party that is always somehow finding new ways to become even more authoritarian and crypto tyrannical. We will examine why AOC’s demands about censorship of Tucker’s show are so reflective of her rotted political faction.”
Will Tucker find a new home at Rumble?
Greenwald looks at all of this on his Rumble broadcast from April 24 livestream:
