Covid Craziness Creeping Back?
Today, there are several news items that might make you think so. Here is a rundown of possible red flags that another round of 2020 might be returning.
While checking the news this morning over breakfast, I came across some videos coming out of Shanghai, China.
Many in the west are not aware that China put its most cosmopolitan city on a severe lockdown eight days ago due to a rise in coronavirus cases.
From what I’ve found, people in Shanghai had their doors literally sealed by the government. These people in the lockdown area have not been allowed to leave their residence for ANY reason - including emergencies or to obtain food.
Disturbing Videos from Shanghai
I’m not seeing anything about the Shanghai lockdown on Facebook. However, I did come across several videos on Twitter that are troubling.
This one is allegedly from April 7:
Here is a video that reportedly from Shanghai shows the desperation - “Arrest me! I don’t have any food!”
This next video is reportedly from Shanghai and shows people scrambling for food rations:
Here is a video reportedly showing an apartment door in Shanghai getting sealed by local authorities.

Philadelphia is first U.S. big city to reimpose indoor mask rules as COVID rates rise “Alone among major U.S. cities, Philadelphia soon will again require masks indoors at all restaurants, shops, offices, and other indoor public spaces again next week, the city health department announced Monday. Businesses can opt to require proof of vaccination instead of requiring masks.”
Across the Pond
Britain made a dramatic turnaround a few months ago, lifting ALL coronavirus restrictions and barriers like vaccine passports.
But in a recent interview, Great Britain’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he won’t take ‘any options off the table’ to turnaround his country’s latest rise in covid cases.
Although, he did say the chances of GB returning to the draconian measures was unlikely as the virus is “losing its potency.”
We are also now seeing some odd tweets and stories that look and sound like they are two years old.
Here is one example:
And this:
Interestingly, this April 11, 2022 story from The Korea Times portrays the U.S. military to be moving on from the covid pandemic, and preparing for the next:
