This Friday happens to be the 13th. Although I’m not superstitious, I feel like there is a possibility this coming Friday the 13th could potentially be a bad day for some people.
Why, you may ask, would I be nervous about a spooky old superstition?
Well, my feelings are not based on any internet rumors lacking evidence.
My concerns are tied to the current thing: the Israel/Hamas war.
Wars and Rumors of War
By now, you are fully aware that war broke out in Israel over the weekend. You know about Hamas, how the U.S. government has declared the group a terrorist organization, and its leadership role in the Gaza Strip. This was not just a terrorist attack but a military assault. Israel declared war on Hamas in response to the Hamas attack and is now bombing the Gaza Strip where the attackers emerged.
Amidst the tense news reports and sickening videos now ubiquitous across all social media platforms, this news caught my attention today:
The Hamas leader who is calling for this Friday to be a ‘day of rage’ is named Khaled Meshaal (sometimes spelled Mashal.) He is a founding member of Hamas and currently the head of the group’s diaspora office.
Here’s some biographical info on Meshaal:
We all need to be aware of what Meshaal is calling all Muslims around the world to do this Friday: Global Jihad.
On X/Twitter, the account with the handle BrotherRasheed has a pinned tweet where the TV host in Morroco plays the speech of Meshaal calling for global jihad, and he provides his commentary intermittently.
In this tweet, Rachid summarizes the five main points of Meshaal’s speech today (pay attention to Meshaal’s final words):
“Funds are important but today we are asking for your blood and souls [to be sacrificed for Palestine].” — Khaled Meshaal
I’m not fear-mongering here. I feel it’s my duty to get this news out.
Do with it what you think is best.
Please stay safe.

I appreciate you passing that onward. And, that "call for blood" syns up to what Buddy Brown was saying this morning, on this 5-minute vid:
