Is that Jamie Foxx?

Not everyone is convinced the A-list Actor is back on his feet so quickly after reportedly knocking on death's door as recently as last week.

The reports coming in from hospitals were downright dire. Jamie Foxx came close to death, we were told, and just last week he reportedly still struggled to regain a semblance of something close to a “recovery.” There was speculation he may never return to acting, for Pete’s sake.

Suddenly—TMZ posts photos allegedly of Foxx on a boat—his first public sighting! And he’s sporting a miraculous recovery!

Jamie Foxx's road to recovery seems to be going very well, 'cause the guy's out and about in public now ... with TMZ getting the first glimpse of him since his hospitalization.

Check out this footage we've obtained, showing a cheerful JF cruising along on a mega-boat on the Chicago River Sunday afternoon ... looking pretty vibrant, and happy to see fans as well. A neighboring vessel passed him by and gave him a big hurrah ... Jamie waved back.

Now, hopefully, all those rumors can be put to rest ... because the guy seems to be well on his way to achieving full health again. Still no word on what exactly happened to him that sent him to the ER in the first place, but the point is -- he seems primed for a comeback. (source)

Not everyone is convinced…some question the identity of the figure wearing shades in the video, while others are skeptical that Foxx is truly “back to normal and feeling great,” as the TMZ public relations piece tries to push (can you tell I’m skeptical?):

The actual video of Foxx on the boat is terrible—the camerawork is wobblier than a typical bigfoot sighting video.
