Listen as left-leaning former Democrat Jimmy Dore says the Democrats are no longer what they used to be. Once interested in corralling abuses of power from agencies like the F.B.I., Democrats are now the establishment and no longer care about many of their former causes.
“If you were a Democrat who was anything like you pretended to be, you would go ‘great! Now we have a chance to defund the F.B.I. Now we have a chance for reform inside our criminal justice system. Because for whatever reason, we have some people on the right who agree with us. So now let’s take advantage of this. No, that’s not what they’re doing. They’re using this to call them names and flip them off. ‘Oh, you guys didn’t think like this before.’ Yeah, I know, but they think like this now! But they did think like this before. This is the libertarian wing—this is Ron Paul. So, they don’t want to work with him. They don’t want to work with Marjorie Taylor Green. They don’t want to work with anybody who’s on the right. Why? Because that’s the Establishment game, to keep us divided. And if we start seeing that we have a common enemy…that would be bad for the Establishment.”
