Surprise Plot Twist in the Joe Rogan Saga
Looks like free market economics may give free speech the last laugh.
Free speech advocates and “woke” cancel culture enthusiasts are watching the drama between Joe Rogan and Spotify wide-eyed while munching popcorn.
About a year ago, Spotify - a podcast and music platform - signed Rogan to a $100 million deal.
Initially, there were complaints from Rogan listeners that the show was not as cutting edge and informative as it used to be. People noticed that Spotify deletes specific episodes of JRE.
But over the past few months, Rogan seemed to be getting his groove back.
Rogan’s ratings are now crushing dinosaur media outlets like CNN, FOX, and MSNBC.
The JRE went back to inviting compelling, free-thinking guests like Jordan Peterson and Robert Malone.
The Malone episode stirred up forgotten musicians like Neil Young and Joni Mitchell - these two blasts from the past started a hippie revival with a goal to get Spotify to fire Rogan and boot him off the platform.
Today, a new twist to this drama may enable Rogan to ultimately win the struggle.
According to the TIMCAST news outlet - Rumble just offered Joe Rogan a $100 million-dollar, four-year contract THAT IS CENSORSHIP FREE.
Rumble went so far as to tweet out the offer on its letterhead, straight from their CEO:
Would it be a risk to change platforms? Of course. Every move to something different has risks.
But if I were Rogan, I would take a serious look at Rumble’s offer. Spotify has come out and backed Rogan so far - but their commitment to free speech feels shaky - not as strong as Rumble.
The Rogan/Spotify story is one of those powerful stories that many people don’t see at the moment.
Your future freedom to question the official narrative, speak freely, and think for yourself connects to the outcome of this saga.
The good news for freedom lovers and 1st Amendment advocates is how the American economy can still provide Rogan another platform option like Rumble.
Keep your eye on this one.
