Tampering With Your DNA: Why the X-Files is Going Viral in 2022
Seeing these clips prompted me to watch the show for the first time. Here's why I'm watching season ten of The X Files.
Do You Still Want to Believe?
I’ve lost count of how many times I have seen these X-Files clips posted on social media.
I never watched the X-Files - a conspiracy-laden show - before this week. A friend who shared the viral video encouraged me to check out season ten, which was released in 2016.
The reason why this video went viral now is due to a string of clips with Agent Scully where she talks about discovering something wrong with people’s DNA - someone has tampered with humanity’s genes, causing a widespread epidemic of immunity deficiency.
In one scene, a character named Agent Einstein says to Scully, “Nobody has the right or the ability to tamper with our DNA.” Scully - scientist hired by the F.B.I. - replies, “Unless we gave them that ability.”
Let me repeat that slice of dialogue without commentary:
Einstein: Nobody has the right or the ability to tamper with our DNA.
Scully: Unless we gave them that ability.
The video goes on to show four and a half minutes of jaw dropping dialogue.
Watching a sci-fi television show from 2016 sound that sounds like a news documentary covering the past three years will make a thinking person wonder, “Did ‘they’ let people know ahead of time what was coming?” (Keep in mind this show was released six years ago.)
