That "Extremely Dangerous to Our Democracy" Video is More Powerful Than Ever
How did all those local news anchors at multiple stations around the country end up speaking the same lines? Here's how...
This video continues to age well.
Do you recall seeing a viral video back in 2018 showing local news anchors from around the U.S. all reading the same teleprompter message?
Many describe the video as “chilling.” “Dystopian.” Some react with anger while watching.
This amazing video - put out by Dead Spin - opened the eyes of many casual television viewers who did not know how controlled and manipulated their local news station is - and continues to be.
They call it “programming” for a reason. The eye-opening video - a compilation of numerous local news stations from various states - including Texas, Iowa, and Michigan - shows a slew of news anchors all parroting the same message about “fake news.”
It’s worth a rewatch:
The video is called “Sinclair’s Soldiers” because all of the news anchors in the video work for stations that are owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group. According to Wikipedia, this conglomerate owns 294 television stations in 89 markets — which means some markets are watching two or more news stations owned by the same company. This is important because the editorial viewpoints being broadcasted are limited to one perspective. The more centralized the station ownership, the easier it is to control the “official narrative.” Then enables the power brokers running the current clown show the ability to bamboozle and lie to keep you in the dark to what’s really going on.
As the anchor minions say in the video, “this is extremely dangerous to our democracy.”
The news network Al Jazeera did a story on this video after its release four years ago - covering more details on the Sinclair Broadcast Group and the impact this video made - opening our eyes to the rarity of fair, unbiased journalism and the fragility of our democratic republic.
Essential information, overlooked by the clueless masses.
