The Most Dangerous Man in the World
According to Joe Biden - no, it's not himself. Although that would be a good guess.
Joe Biden has publicly called out Rupert Murdoch - the owner of Fox News - “the most dangerous man in the world.”
More dangerous than Putin? Trump? Kim Jong-un?
I’m pretty sure Rupert Murdoch doesn’t have access to nuclear missile launch codes.
It is not clear when exactly Biden made this claim about Murdoch - a forthcoming book written by two NY Times writers is where this statement is made. The book is not out yet, and the date of this quote is not verified.
But his opinion about Murdoch isn’t surprising. Biden typically demonizes anyone who throws a tricky question at him. If you don’t support everything his administration does at all times - you are “dangerous.”
This forthcoming book is a bastion of objective, balanced and truth-seeking journalism, as the NY Times is known to deliver.
Just kidding. The Hill reports that the book is full of left-wing bias. For example, the NY Times writers describe Fox News as a “torrent of anti-Biden programming, stoking skepticism about vaccines and disseminating wild conspiracy theories about the January 6 attack.”
In the book, Biden also calls the Fox News organization “one of the most destructive forces in the United States.”
Biden has been unable to hide his frustration with Fox News White House correspondents like Peter Doocy. Like that one time, Biden’s mic was still hot, and Joe called Doocy a “stupid son of a b****.”
The book obtained by CNN (which makes sense) will reportedly be available this May. According to CNN, this is the first public comment about Murdoch that Biden has made.
Although Fox News is known for tailored news angles serving a right-of-center audience, the Murdoch family business is far from the dangerous place that Biden and other Democrats like to portray.
How Rupert Murdoch and His Family REALLY Feel About Trump
The Murdochs were openly supporting Joe Biden during his 2020 Presidential campaign.
In October of 2020, Rupert Murdoch expressed disgust with President Trump’s response to the pandemic and predicted that Biden would cruise to a landslide election victory. “After all that has gone on, people are ready for Sleepy Joe,” said Rupert.
The head honcho of Fox News never put his heart into supporting Trump from the beginning. Here is what Rupert tweeted right after Trump announced his POTUS run in 2015:
And he’s not the only Murdoch to oppose Trump and support Biden in 2020:
According to FEC records, his wife (former supermodel Jerry Hall) gave $500 to Joe Biden’s POTUS campaign in May of 2020.
Also, Rupert Murdoch’s son and daughter-in-law gave $615,000 each to the Biden Victory Fund - plus an additional $1 million to other Democrats in Senate races.
And this Vanity Fair article claims Rupert Murdoch decided on election night to let Fox News be the first to declare Arizona for Joe Biden. “F*** him,” Murdoch is alleged to have grunted when making the decision.
The Conclusion
The Murdoch family and Fox News made many decisions and moves that helped Joe Biden get elected in 2020.
Not so dangerous for Joe after all, when you look a little closer.
The main stream media tables seem to be turning ever so slightly (and begrudgingly) against Biden in their reporting. Makes me wonder if the ones really pulling the strings have given Murdoch the green light to crank up the heat.
