Two "Outside-the-TV Box" Takes on Russia/Ukraine You Won't Hear on Tucker or NPR
These two guys are more knowledgeable about Russia and Ukraine than 99% of the talking heads on your favorite cable news channel.
Finding information on what’s genuinely happening over in Ukraine takes some effort.
That’s what News Detectives do for you. :)
I recently reviewed two handy and informative videos. Both focused on what’s going on in Ukraine as the country fights against the Russian army.
Let’s start with someone on YouTube called Coach Red Pill, who has been in Kyiv, Ukraine since the attack began last week. (He proves his whereabouts on a previous video.)
I will say that the background of this guy is unknown. Not sure if he is a businessman or journalist or why he’s over in Ukraine. His accent sounds American. But his nationality is also unclear.
Regardless, Coach Red Pill breaks down what’s occurring with the Russian army - their strategy and why the western analysis of what’s happening is inaccurate.
He also talks about Zelensky and how he’s putting his own people in harm’s way.
Recorded on Saturday, his analysis is eye-opening and sounds solid.
Over 500K viewers seem to agree, based on the comments below the video.
This Excellent Interview by Tom Woods is Worth Your Time
I found this podcast interview to be quite illuminating and helpful with understanding the geopolitics between Russia, Ukraine, NATO, and even China.
This bio I found of Gilbert Doctorow on The Nation website really shows off his expertise:
“Gilbert Doctorow is a professional Russia watcher going back to 1965. For twenty-five years he worked for US and European multinationals in marketing and general management with regional responsibility. In the year 2000, he closed his corporate career as General Director in Russia and the CIS for a UK based multinational. Doctorow regularly publishes analytical articles about international affairs on the portal of the Belgian daily La Libre Belgique and has recently been a contributor of Op-Ed articles on US-Russian relations to the English-language Moscow Times. Mr. Doctorow is a Research Fellow of the American University in Moscow. From 1998-2002, Doctorow served as the Chairman of the Russian Booker Literary Prize. He was a Board Member of the American Committee for East-West Accord from 2015-2016.”
I encourage you to give this interview a listen. Tom Woods asks the right questions (as usual) and I promise you will learn some things you didn’t know about Russia and Ukraine.
That Gilbert Doctorow interview was really eye opening.
