Letter from the Editor
Today I posted this on social media:
“Does East Palestine OH have a flag I can put on my profile avatar?”
The fact that Facebook doesn’t tells us everything we need to know about that toxic platform.
One guy commented on my post: “I’m surprised someone hasn’t made a profile pic frame addressing that.”
Here is my reply:
“The legacy mockingbird media matrix™ has deemed it a minor thing unworthy of our attention.”
Another guy left this comment that got four laughing emojis so far: “I’m sorry, but it’s still Chinese Spy Balloon season. You’ll have to wait your turn.”
I replied with that Morgan Freeman meme: “He’s right you know.”
However, thanks to Substack, writers are breaking the official narrative for a growing number of readers—particularly on the topic of covid and those dastardly inoculations.
But there are other important stories breaking through the legacy media firewall (disguised as an “open and free press.”) News Detectives is one of the few quality news curators you’ll find on Substack. There are many writers doing fantastic work with longform writing on this platform. Typically, their posts cover one or two topics, which is fine—we need in-depth investigative news writers like the mysterious Techno Fog and his stack The Reactionary.
With this newsletter, you get curated news every day—including breaking news.
As a subscriber to many Substacks, I’m noticing that News Detectives will oftentimes cover a topic a day or three before many other newsletters get to it.
Speaking of “stacks,” this Sunday will be the first edition of a new Sunday edition of News Detectives. I think I’m going to call it “Sunday Stack Attack,” unless I change my mind. This new Sunday edition will be a collection of the best Substack articles I have come across during the previous week.
As the Chief Inspector of News, it’s the least I can do.
Be watching for it this Sunday and let me know in the comments how you like it!
According to the metrics, this new Saturday edition— ”Weekend Red Pills”—is a hit, so I plan to continue this format on Saturdays.
Enjoy today’s red pills—the more red pills you swallow, the stronger your immunity will be against the propaganda virus.
Cheers,
Matthieu Lumière
