Dear Reader,

When I first heard about today’s top story, I was optimistic because I had no idea who Linda Yaccarino was, her background, nothing. Elon seemed excited, so I was willing to extend some trust in his decision on who he hired to be the new CEO of Twitter.

However—several friends are bringing to my attention that Ms. Yaccarino’s resume includes working with the World Economic Forum.

I’ve confirmed that her LinkedIn profile does include the WEF Executive Chair listed in the Organizations section of her profile. The dates indicate she is still active with the WEF.

What a troubling discovery.

You have to wonder if the timing of Elon’s announcement is intentional—many people are feeling good right now about Twitter due to Tucker Carlson’s recent announcement that he will be hosting a show with Elon’s blessing. Free speech advocates like me are (or were) excited by this news. Tucker going to Twitter increased our trust in Musk, and what he’s doing with the struggling social platform he bought less than a year ago.

Did Musk announce the CEO while everyone was basking in the Tucker euphoria on purpose? Hoping that we would overlook Yaccarino’s resume?

I’m afraid the surge of trust recently gifted to Musk just days ago is already evaporating and could be dried up to a stunningly low level by the end of next week.

What is Musk doing?

Yes, there were a few red flags with Musk before this CEO hire—but I’ll admit this: I’ve been enjoying the Twitter implosion and rebuild so much that I’ve been cutting Musk some slack on things like the brain chip, his past involvement with the WEF, the satanic cosplay, and his latest romantic partner.

Sometime soon, I plan to dig deeper into Yaccarino’s past affiliations, personal views, and public statements. I was getting close to paying cash money for a Twitter subscription and spending more time there.

But I’m not interested in supporting a bait-and-switch operation.

I’m pausing those plans. I need more information. Would you like more information on Twitter’s new CEO? Get ready, News Detectives—we have some sleuthing to do.
