He's angry and acting like a diva - or an NFL wide receiver. Wallace reportedly now suffers from "buyer's remorse" as his new job at the Georgia-based cable news outlet isn't so going so peachy.
Hey Matthew, Chris Wallace is getting old and he is trying to prolong his "glory days" (aka 60 Minutes) while fighting against the reality that age and passe are working against him. I would not bring him on my staff for two reasons: He is demanding far more than his worth can bring to a network; he is not facing reality that producers are not going to provide him with all of the "royal perks" he has been used to for decades. His risk-to-reward ratio is not conducive to hiring him. His antics are proving this to be correct.
Here's an interesting scenario...
Vanguard freezes Musk out; Musk bows out, taking his money and leaving his Twitter shares on the table. Instead, he goes after CNN, uses the same tactics to buy in, then shoots the works to buy the network. The place is in complete shambles now, and the only way is up for them. With a ton of tweaking, Musk could refine the plan he had for Twitter and apply his new strategies to CNN. He could "fix" the damage, increase stock values, then turn the day-to-day operations to people who really want to report the news, not socialist drivel. Then when the time is right, he could "flip" CNN and make a few more billion. Pure speculation.
