Frowny Facebook ☹️
Zuckerberg can't seem to turn this frown upside down | The New Pandemic: Mystery Illnesses | FDNY Captain goes off on city council | How can Ardern say that with a straight face? | FB alternative
1. Frowny Facebook
There are some tech critics who think Mark Zuckerberg is a poor leader who will derail the company he founded - Meta - into a mediocre, seen-better-days business.
Others, like CBNC’s Jim Cramer, think it is foolish to bet against Zuckerberg. They are more optimistic and believe the Metaverse is Mark’s oyster.
What exactly is going on with the tech oligarch who started Facebook while in college and currently is sporting a Julias Caeser haircut?
From The Business Socializer: “Right now Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg are facing a crisis of confidence. One year ago, Facebook shares were trading at around $350. As of this moment (Meta) shares are at $168.11, a drop of over 50% in 12 months. That - is - not - good.
The rise of TikTok, the changes to the Apple operating system that make Facebook ads less effective, pressure from government, the censorship scandals, Zuck has had a rough year. But according to the attached article some think the current malaise at Facebook is primarily because the CEO has lost the script, and maybe his vision.”

Now let’s get to some news topics that Facebook likes to censor.
2. The New Pandemic: Mystery Illnesses
What do Justin Bieber, Jane Fonda, screenwriting legend Paul Schrader, actor Pauley Perrette, news anchor Julie Chin of Tulsa, and Wake Forest QB Sam Hartman have in common?
Sadly, they were all recently hit with a “sudden illness” that was unexpected and without explanation.
Professor of Communications and propaganda expert Mark Crispin Miller documents these cases and all the latest ones several times per week over on his Substack News from Underground:
3. FDNY Captain Goes Off on City Council
Thank you for your service, sir. (And I don’t live anywhere close to NYC.)
You deserve better than this…
4. How can she say that with a straight face?
Jacinda Ardern is the Prime Minister of New Zealand. She is also a member of The World Economic Forum.
As she backs off her draconian pandemic measures, lifting vaccine and mask mandates in her country, you can’t help but notice her body language does look like she’s in pain when she says, “We all just need to respect everyone’s individual decisions.”
Do you really believe what you’re saying, Jacinda? Because your actions speak the opposite.
Democrats here in the U.S. are doing the same thing as we near a November election. They have the gall to pronounce themselves the caretakers of privacy.
Gag me with a spoon.
But New Zealand is in worse shape - as a small country without federalism and using a parliamentary form of government - draconian measures are easier to impose and lift at will.
This video will make you cringe.

5. As Facebook stagnates, GETTR grows.
Similar to Rumble’s recent success - another overlooked social media platform called GETTR keeps adding new features to its platform while slowly yet steadily gaining new users. “Speaking to Just the News, Miller began by touting the app's new edit feature, highlighting its debut ahead of Twitter's own much anticipated update. GETTR announced the debut of its post editing feature on Thursday.
"[W]e were actually able to beat Twitter to the punch on this," he said. "And what we mean is that since we've only been around since July of 2021, but Twitter has been around for 15 years, we now have available to all GETTR users. It doesn't matter what your verification status is. There's no subscription dynamics that says some people get to use the Edit feature and some people don't."
